以文章與作品深入淺出的介紹或導讀方式帶領學生了解台灣美術各時期發展與藝術家創作風格特色，以及各時代政治、社會、經濟等所牽動影響美術發展的重要議題討論。探尋與土地認同歸依的體認及與世界接軌的基點，並自主性思考研究台灣美術史根植於自己土地、人民及歷史的建構。Through in-depth introduction or reading methods of articles and works, we will lead students to understand the creative styles and characteristics of Taiwanese aesthetics' development and artists' creative styles and discussions on important issues that influence the development of aesthetics through politics, society, economy, etc. in various eras. Explore the physical understanding that is consistent with the recognition of land and the basis for connecting with the world, and independently think and study the structure of Taiwan's aesthetic history rooted in its own land, people and history.
本課程內容將從十七世紀荷蘭治理台灣至1945年第二次世界大戰日本治理台灣結束前，沿著近世至近代歷史分期介紹台灣美術各時期發展及代表藝術家與作品，主要含括：(1)荷蘭時期台灣美術 (2)明鄭與清治時期書畫特色(3)台灣近代美術發展概況(4) 日治時期東洋畫、西洋畫、雕塑的面貌與「地方色彩」等講述與討論。
The content of this course will introduce the development of Taiwan’s art in various periods and representative artists and works in various periods along modern history, including: (1 )Taiwan Art in the Dutch Period (2) Characteristics of Books from Ming Dynasty and Qing Dynasty (3) Overview of the Development of Modern Taiwan Art (4) Discussions and Discussions on the Appearance of Eastern and Western Paintings, Western Paintings, and Sculptures during the Japanese Paintings and "local colors".
