本課程旨在通過情境評賞的角度認識西方自史前時代至現代藝術初期的發展脈絡,當中自原始藝術到文藝復興以至現代藝術各時期的藝術特色、風格和代表作品的評賞,讓學生瞭解藝術起源和演變的情境因素,提升對於西方藝術作品的審美素養,並藉此增強個人藝術創作與社會、環境、個人之間的脈絡關係。
同時通過對特定主題、作品、時代氛圍或藝術家的資料蒐集與閱讀,書寫成具備基本學術價值的學期報告,藉以養成學術研究的基礎能力。This course aims to understand the development of Western art from prehistoric times to the early days of modern art from the perspective of situational appreciation, including the appreciation of artistic characteristics, styles and representative works of each period from primitive art to the Renaissance to modern art, allowing students to understand Situational factors in the origin and evolution of art can improve the aesthetic quality of Western art works, and thereby strengthen the relationship between personal artistic creation and society, environment, and individuals.
At the same time, through the collection and reading of information on specific themes, works, atmosphere of the times, or artists, a term report with basic academic value is written to develop basic abilities in academic research.
本課程的主要範圍在討論西方藝術從史前時代到18世紀的巴洛克(Baroque)。授課內容以繪畫史的發展,配合不同時代的文明旁及於建築與雕塑的討論。
The main scope of this course is to discuss Western art from prehistoric times to the Baroque of the 18th century. The content of the course is based on the development of painting history, along with discussions on architecture and sculpture along with civilizations in different eras.
