表演評論書寫作為有如班雅明（Walter Benjamin）所謂的「原作的回聲」，在具有劇場記錄的檔案性外，並內含有當下觀視路徑等複雜的交織；之為一種非虛構文本，又具現著書寫者的思考風格，另一方面經由評論與詮釋，又時而形塑為一個時代性的美學思潮發生。實務上，論述敘事之能力又可對應與研究、編寫、企畫乃至策展等領域。在本門課中，將從表演藝術評論的現況談起，前半部開展「觀看」與「書寫」的多重路徑，藉由當代理論、文本討論的過程，奠定評論的知識基礎，並探索個人創作研究發展的主題。The performance review is like what Walter Benjamin calls "the sound of the original work".
