■ 課程目標及內涵 (Course Objectives and Contents)
◤題目﹝一﹞ : 案例研究: 增改建練習
◤題旨:
建築空間操作訓練可以從最基本的生活面討論開始,同時不斷能隨時觀摩學習建築作品是設計能力養成的必要習慣,所以本練習將要求同學從案例本身的研究開始,不但操作討論生活與空間之關係,並且設計考量人體工學的空間細節,特別是處理新增空間與原設計之間的空間與形式關係。
◤題本:
以 Gwathmey Residence and Studio 案例為研究與設計對象,題目設定原案為增建之原始基本架構,同學必須選擇校園內一處適當的增建處所,其位置必須與校園內既有建物相鄰或有一定的緊密關係,重新置入相因應周邊涵構的新機能,嘗試設計能滿足新的整體需求之增建案,原則上不但原空間使用重新作調整,原周邊建築也可適度作局部修改以相互整合,而非以單純增建的方式:另不建議考量往上增建,期望同學都能選擇適當的增建方式創造一全新完整的使用格局,並且又能夠兼顧整體型態的協調性與美觀。
※設計步驟 :
一、Study 研究案例;繪製完整圖面與製作1/50模型。
二、選定增建位置並設定空間需求;同時應討論使用者之間的活動關係。
三、量體配置與高程介面處理;解決高程與各面向介面關係並以選定的活動機能作空間關係與動線檢討。
四、討論型體與空間關係;與原設計的基本型體搭配,考量建築量體關係和活動連結關係,適度調整形體與形式。
五、型式整合操作;主要以外部型式考量調整後再整合回內部空間關係。
六、內外關係與周遭環境塑造;內外空間細節處理。

◤Topic ﹝1﹞: Case study: Addition, modification and reconstruction exercises
◤Title:
Architectural space operation training can start from the most basic discussion of life aspects. At the same time, being able to observe and study architectural works at any time is a necessary habit for the development of design ability. Therefore, this exercise will require students to start from the study of the case itself, not only to operate and discuss the relationship between life and space. relationship, and the design considers ergonomic spatial details, especially dealing with the spatial and formal relationship between the new space and the original design.
◤Question book:
Take Gwathmey Residence and Studio The case is the object of research and design. The original project is the original basic structure of the addition. Students must choose an appropriate addition on campus. Its location must be adjacent to or have a certain close relationship with the existing buildings on campus. Insert new functions corresponding to the surrounding structure and try to design an addition that can meet the new overall needs , in principle, not only the use of the original space can be readjusted, but the original surrounding buildings can also be moderately modified to integrate with each other, rather than simply adding new buildings: it is also not recommended to consider building upwards, and we hope that students can choose appropriate additions. The construction method creates a new and complete usage pattern, and can take into account the coordination and beauty of the overall shape.
※Design steps:
1. Study case study; draw complete drawings and make 1/50 models.
2. Select the location for the addition and set space requirements; at the same time, the activity relationship between users should be discussed.
3. Mass configuration and elevation interface processing; solve the relationship between elevation and various interfaces, and use selected activity functions to review spatial relationships and movement lines.
4. Discuss the relationship between shape and space; match the basic shape of the original design, consider the relationship between building mass and activity connection, and appropriately adjust the shape and form.
5. Type integration operation: mainly consider and adjust the external type and then integrate it back into the internal spatial relationship.
6. Shaping of internal and external relationships and surrounding environment; processing of details of internal and external spaces.

建築基本語言與工具的學習是學習建築的一關鍵性開始,本學期的設計課重點將放在循序漸進的介紹並操作建築設計中的各項基本元素與嘗試面對處理真實環境的各種基本問題,以加強訓練同學熟練建築語言與基本工具的操作。
