本課程旨在培養學生在管弦樂團合奏中之演奏技巧與良好的專業態度，訓練演奏能力、聽力、 合奏能力，擴展不同時期曲目的詮釋力;並在樂團合奏中，增進群育與美育的概念。 每學期安排至少一套完整音樂會曲目，排練計畫包括:弦樂分部、管樂分部、擊樂分部以及管弦 樂合奏。
管弦樂團經排練並演出重要管絃樂團曲目，讓同學於過程中學習樂團合奏及演出的知識與經驗。
研究所指揮主修學生為樂團之助理指揮。助理指揮與樂團同步訓練，並於分部練習時分擔指揮及練樂團的工作，因此樂團排練時間必須出席。其他指揮樂團的機會會視情況安排。
樂團排練時間請見「教學進度」。This course aims to cultivate students' performance skills and good professional attitudes in orchestra ensembles, train their performance skills, listening skills, and ensemble skills, expand their interpretation of repertoire from different periods, and enhance the concepts of group education and aesthetic education in orchestra ensembles. . At least one complete concert repertoire is arranged each semester, and the rehearsal plan includes: string section, wind section, percussion section and orchestral ensemble.
The orchestra rehearsed and performed important orchestral repertoire, allowing students to learn the knowledge and experience of orchestra ensemble and performance in the process.
Students majoring in conducting at the institute serve as assistant conductors of the orchestra. The assistant conductor trains synchronously with the orchestra and shares the work of conducting and practicing the orchestra during segment practice. Therefore, attendance at orchestra rehearsals is required. Other opportunities to conduct the orchestra will be arranged on a case-by-case basis.
