本課程旨在培養學生在管弦樂團合奏中之演奏技巧與良好的專業態度，訓練演奏能力、聽力、 合奏能力，擴展不同時期曲目的詮釋力;並在樂團合奏中，增進群育與美育的概念。 每學期安排至少一套完整音樂會曲目，排練計畫包括:弦樂分部、管樂分部、擊樂分部以及管弦 樂合奏。
管弦樂團經排練並演出重要管絃樂團曲目，讓同學於過程中學習樂團合奏及演出的知識與經驗。
研究所指揮主修學生為樂團之助理指揮。助理指揮與樂團同步訓練，並於分部練習時分擔指揮及練樂團的工作，因此樂團排練時間必須出席。其他指揮樂團的機會會視情況安排。
樂團排練時間請見「教學進度」。This course aims to cultivate students' performance skills and good professional attitude in orchestral ensembles, train their performance, listening and ensemble abilities, and expand the ability to singularly perform repertoires at different times; and to enhance the concepts of group education and aesthetic education in group ensembles; . At least one complete musical repertoire is arranged for each session, and the scheduling plan includes: string division, sculpting division, sculpting division and orchestral ensemble.
The orchestra trains and performs important ensemble repertoire, allowing students to learn the knowledge and experience of ensemble ensembles and performances in the process.
The institute guides major students to serve as assistants in the group. Assistant guidance and the group are trained simultaneously, and the group is trained in the branch, and the group's work is divided into the group and the group's work, so the group training time must be attended.
