課程目標：如何在當代科技發展蓬勃、全球化與在地化的交互浪潮中，重新檢視『新媒體藝術』在當代所扮演的角色？
課程內涵：本課程的內容旨在培養具有多元跨域視野的當代藝術相關領域人才。台灣具備了數位科技的環境基礎，提供新媒體藝術發展的優越條件。此課程的內容除了幫助學生以水平式廣泛地認識當代科技時代下的新混血（hybrid)藝術樣態與相關衍生的議題，拓展其當代新媒體藝術史的涵養，也企圖培養學生垂直式地深入反思當代現象與批判藝術現況的能力。Course objective: How to re-examine the role of "new media art" in the contemporary era in the booming development of contemporary technology, globalization and localization?
Course content: The content of this course is designed to cultivate talents in the field of contemporary art related with diverse cross-domain vision. Taiwan has an environmental foundation of digital technology and provides superior conditions for the development of new media art. In addition to helping students to understand the new hybrid art style and related derivative issues horizontally and widely, expand the convergence of their contemporary new media art history, the content of this course also seeks to cultivate students to go deeper vertically The ability to reflect on contemporary phenomena and critical artistic phenomena.
