This course guides the discussion of the relationship between soft movable objects and the physical space in the city.
Dutch architect Rem Koolhass once compared the city to an envelope. What is written in the envelope is determined by urban activities. Urban planning is about the envelope. Together with the formation of the disorderly urban framework, the required fillers serve as an overall consideration for Taiwan's future urban development.
As urban design and planning in Europe have gradually improved, and buildings have been used to repair cities, in recent years, the issue of how software can enter cities has continued to be discussed in modern society. Architectural curation itself has also put forward specific imaginations about what future cities will look like. , the proposals in the exhibition have gradually evolved from imagination to knowledge accumulation and innovation.
This class conducts historical research on several large-scale exhibitions and expositions in Europe and the United States. It attempts to organize the annual topics and discuss them together with historical events and technological artificial intelligence to explore the implementation methods of continuous critical thinking for the future society.
The goal is to discuss several models of spatial intervention through curatorial efforts during this semester, and to discuss the division of labor and curatorial structure through presentation methods such as the annual smart design exhibition.
Exhibiting previous discourses and models of practice as primary tools of execution.
