6460 - 性別社會學 Sociology of Gender


教育目標 Course Target

一、課程簡介 性別社會學/性別研究是一門跨領域學習的有趣學科,這個研究領域與我們日常生活大小事非常相關。西蒙・波娃曾說到:「女人不是天生的,而是變成的」來挑戰性別秩序形塑的兩性「天生說」。同志理論家巴特勒說到「性別是展演出來的」,她說到社會秩序與規範如何不斷的形塑我們個人日常生活的習慣與身體感知。而一整套性別體系對我們的價值觀形塑,經常出現在你我所不經意之處、在我們的好惡情緒、在眼睛所見之外,人們很不經意的就排除了女性(包括原住民女性、女工、女科學家等)或各類性少數族群。 早期女性主義者對於父權社會結構的反省,如今已經演變為更多元、複雜的問題化,例如,性別、種族與文化差異、異性戀機制、同志/酷兒運動、科技與醫療、性別與消費文化等。本課程以性別社會學、性別研究與女性主義理論為基礎,分別介紹並討論以下主題:理論化性別、女性主義認識論與方法論、性別與科學、性別與勞動等性別社會學之重要主題。 二、主要讀物: *Pamela Abbott, Claire Wallace, and Melissa Tyler著,鄭玉菁譯,《女性主義社會學》。巨流。 *亞倫˙強森著,成令方譯,(2008),《性別打結:拆除父權違建》。群學出版。 * Nancy Folbre著、許慧如譯(2002)《心經濟、愛無價?家務該不該有給?愛心如何計價?》台北:新新聞。 *周碧娥(2022)《性別社會學:性別作為範疇、理論與實作》(The Sociology of Gender: Gender as Category, Theory, and Practice)。三民出版社。 *曾嬿芬、吳嘉苓、楊芳枝、范雲、唐文慧、黃淑玲、成令方、張晉芬(2004)〈檢視社會學教科書:女性主義的觀點〉。《女學學誌:婦女與性別研究》,17期。 *West, C. & D. (30%)每週讀書筆記 2. (30%)平時成績與導讀文本:三次不到課平時成績零分。 3. (10%)期中報告 4. (20%)期末報告 5. (10%)演講本學期演講參與兩場並繳交心得,寫演講心得者加總分。 1. Course introduction Gender Social Science/Gender Research is an interesting subject that learns across the domain, and this research area is very relevant to the big and small things in our daily lives. Simon Pova once said: "Women are not born, but become" to challenge the two sexes that shape the order of sexual order. Gay theorist Butler said that "gender is performed", and she said how social order and rules constantly shape our personal habits and body perceptions in daily life. The value of a complete set of gender systems often shaped us. They often appear where you and I don’t care about it, in our good deeds, and beyond our eyes, and people do not care about it, and exclude women (including indigenous women, female workers, female scientists, etc.) or various ethnic minorities. The reflections of early female theorists on the social structure of patriarchs have now evolved into more diverse, complex problems such as gender, ethnic and cultural differences, heterosexual mechanisms, gay/cool movement, technology and medicine, gender and Consumer culture, etc. This course is based on gender social studies, gender research and feminist theory, and introduces and discusses the following topics: important topics in gender social studies such as theoretical gender, feminist awareness and methodology, gender and science, gender and sport. 2. (30%) Reading book every week 2. (30%) Regular results and guide text: If the class is less than three times, the average score will be zero. 3. (10%) Midterm Report 4. (20%) Final report 5. (10%) Speech in this session, participate in the two sessions and share experiences. Those who write speech experiences will add a total score.
