The objectives of this course are as follows:
1) To provide a thorough understanding of various renewable feedstocks of importance to
global environment, their availability and attributes for biofuels production.
2) To provide a thorough understanding of the broad concept of biofuel production from biomass and other low-cost
agricultural residues and wastes.
3) To provide students with tools and knowledge necessary for biofuel facility operations.
4) To teach our students to analyze and design processes for biofuel production.

The teaching focus of this course is to introduce the characteristics of biomass energy, as well as the biochemical conversion technologies and potential application opportunities of various biomass materials.
