藉辦理「台日基層社區交流」:希望學生能以自已所學架起溝通的橋梁，連接台灣與日本的基層社區，來共同探討彼此間的共通問題，並藉由交流結合更多的力量，以助問題的解決，在此同時亦拓展了彼此思考的廣度性與世界觀。今年度的活動重點為暑期的「關西之旅」和12月初的台日農・食育交流活動。「關西之旅」的活動主題為社區營造，主要活動地點在日本丹波市的柏原地區，是關西學院大學・東海大學・朝陽科技大學等三校的共同聯合交流活動。
「台日農・食育交流活動」的活動地點為台灣苗栗三義的鯉魚社區。配合水保局的台中分局所推出「天茶地酒」活動，預定連結日本「九州食與文化應援隊」與鯉魚社區，以進行台日農產品的合作與開發。

理解原住民為何要接受「集團移住」的歷史，移居到另一個地區居住，其間會遭遇到何種問題與困難，各自如何應對。
南投仁愛鄉是一個有眾多民族的地方，各個不同的移居部落記憶跟歷史交錯複雜，藉觀察各社的移居歷史，睜開觀察的眼之後，思考原住民的處境與狀況。
以「北港溪中游」的部分為核心，探討屬於「泰雅族」的眉原部落，如何與接受「集團移住」而搬入的賽德克族人相處，彼此產生複雜的文化交流，並深刻影響到後世原住民世代的身分認同。By organizing the "Taiwan-Japan Grassroots Community Exchange": It is hoped that students can use what they have learned to build a bridge of communication and connect the grassroots communities in Taiwan and Japan to jointly discuss common issues between them and combine more strength through exchanges.
