Course Target

Course Overview: Literature has its own unique "way of seeing" that expresses narrative techniques. In addition to novels or poems, it also covers a wide range of things related to words, such as reports, biographies, encyclopedias, essays, natural history, documentaries, etc. In fact, All contain thoughts on literary language. In recent years, creative nonfiction writing is often used to summarize the above writing. In 2015, the Nobel Prize for Literature was awarded to the Belarusian writer Svetlana Alexievich. Her writing began with in-depth investigation and action, and finally integrated into literature. Following his award, a new wave of discussions on the "use of literature" was launched in Taiwan: emphasizing "truth", paying attention to the field, and taking into account literary connotations. More importantly, it serves as an important tool for reproducing real-life issues. This course will explore the contemporary significance of literary reading and writing. Course objectives and connotation: Read the works of writers, as well as the concepts, applications and writing of reality in the field of journalism, new media, and cross-media narratives; by thinking about contemporary texts, delve into the perspective of local experience, including land and indigenous people, environment and ecology, migrant workers, and gender , historical trauma, war and other issues, and try the "AI generation integrated into Chinese learning" method. Then start writing and commenting on students’ personal opinions.
