森林樹冠層是眾多生物棲息的地方，是一個非常重要且獨特的生態系統，但學術界對其之了解卻很有限；也很少有人能夠接觸到這個棲地。在本課程中，學生將系統性的學習森林樹冠層之動植物多樣性；特殊適應和動植物交互關係；並實際操作樹冠層調查技術以經歷這個獨特環境。攀樹除了是一個重要的專業研究技術外，也是可以親近大樹，接近自然的體驗活動，不僅可以訓練身體的協調能力，並可以用不同的眼界跟高度來看世界。學生在進行攀樹的過程當中訓練了專注力，身體的協調，恆毅力，挫折忍受度，以及達到目標之後的成就感；因此攀樹也被廣泛應用在體驗及冒險教育之中。本課程並將協助學生通過術科考試以獲取由中華民國體育總會所頒發之丙級攀樹師執照，以建立其投入森林管理調查或冒險體驗教育相關產業之基本能力和所需之認證。The Forest Tree Champions are a place where many creatures are inhabited. It is a very important and unique ecological system, but the academic community has limited understanding of it; few people can access this land. In this course, students systematically learn the diversity of forest tree crowns; special adaptations and interactions with animal and plant; and actually operate tree crown survey technology to experience this unique environment. In addition to being an important professional research technology, climbing trees can also be close to large trees and natural physical experience activities, which not only can practice the body's coordination ability, but also can see the world from different perspectives and heights. During the process of climbing trees, students train their concentration, body coordination, perseverance, frustration tolerance, and a sense of accomplishment after reaching their goals; therefore, climbing trees are also widely used in experience and adventure education. This course will also assist students through the academic examination to obtain a Class C climber license issued by the Sports Association of the Republic of China to establish their basic abilities and certifications for forest management investigations or adventure education-related industries.
