(一)、課程目標
1.以經典與文明為路徑引動學生「為往聖繼絕學」,學生能夠在閱讀經典著作過程中獲得該作品之基本知識,並培養具備對經典著作之理解與分析能力。(認知:包括基本知識與應用、理解與分析能力)
2.能夠判斷何謂經典著作,並從閱讀的經典著作內容得到在社會生活中的啟發,使過去的經典著作可以在當代社會成為有用的工具。(技能)
3.培養學生自行閱讀經典著作之興趣或習慣,並能在閱讀中過程中學會尊重差異、承認差異素養、肯定自我與欣賞他人。(行為)
4.透過經典著作的閱讀瞭解中國社會的基礎結構脈絡與文化,學習作者如何以社會學的取徑來分析中國社會,以從中體驗社會學的趣味。(情意)
5.培養學生具備多元、比較分析、獨立思考等能力以及社會學想像力。(後設認知結果)
(二)、課程內涵
社會經典與典範以社會為主題,使學生了解為何需要認識經典與人物典範。本課程以中國鄉土社會做為探討對象,搞清楚所謂「鄉土社會」這個概念,就可以幫助我們去理解具體的中國社會。本課程閱讀的指定用書全面的展現了中國基層社會的面貌,而「這裡講的鄉土中國,並不是具體的中國社會的描繪,而是包含在具體的中國基層傳統社會裡的一種特具的體系,支配著生活的各個方面」。本課程將透過該書中簡潔的語言,對中國基層社會的主要特徵進行概述和分析,包括鄉村社區、文化傳遞、家族制度、道德觀念、權力結構、社會規範、社會變遷等。當中涉及中國社會的傳統結構與中國國民性格,對當今社會人與人、群體與群體之間如何相處,仍有諸多可借鑒之處。(1) Course objectives
1. Use classics and civilization as a path to inspire students to "carry on the unique knowledge for the past." Students can acquire basic knowledge of classic works in the process of reading them, and develop their ability to understand and analyze classic works. (Cognition: including basic knowledge and application, understanding and analysis skills)
2. Be able to judge what classic works are and get inspiration from the contents of the classic works read in social life, so that the classic works of the past can become useful tools in contemporary society. (Skill)
3. Cultivate students' interest or habit of reading classic works on their own, and learn to respect differences, acknowledge differences, affirm themselves and appreciate others in the reading process. (behavior)
4. Understand the basic structure and culture of Chinese society through reading classic works, and learn how the author uses a sociological approach to analyze Chinese society, so as to experience the interest of sociology. (affection)
5. Cultivate students' abilities in pluralism, comparative analysis, independent thinking, and sociological imagination. (Metacognitive results)
(2) Course connotation
Social Classics and Models takes society as the theme, allowing students to understand why they need to know classics and character models. This course takes China's rural society as the object of study. Understanding the concept of "rural society" can help us understand specific Chinese society. The designated reading book for this course comprehensively shows the face of China's grassroots society, and "the rural China mentioned here is not a specific description of Chinese society, but a unique kind of society contained in the specific grassroots traditional society of China." The system governs all aspects of life." This course will use the concise language in the book to outline and analyze the main characteristics of China's grassroots society, including rural communities, cultural transmission, family systems, moral concepts, power structures, social norms, social changes, etc. It involves the traditional structure of Chinese society and the character of the Chinese people. There is still a lot to learn from how people and groups get along with each other in today's society.
