人類的進化隨著環境的變遷,孕育了多元的文化與生活行為與方式,此演化的過程達爾文提出了「NATION SELECTION」的見解與論述;殊不知期間的演化,生活的創新扮演著極其重要的角色,而維持、持續、精進人類食衣住行育樂的需求與滿足。
本課程旨在討論人類生存的意義與價值;從人類進化過程之中伴隨的的生活方式的究竟是生活改變了人類抑或是人類改變了生活方式?從課程的導論中依序會討論幾個生命價值與創新的問題:「生命創新意義與價值」、「創新哲理與思辨」、「生命的永續何以需要創新」、「創新價值如何落實」「創新的本質與生存的意義」...等議題作為學期課程前期的主軸,其中再輔以實際的案例介紹與討論,廣泛的論述與追求新的詮釋與解決方案作為本課程學習的核心。上述的課程綱要主要是引導學生對於生活的起源脈絡進一步的理解、尊重、欣賞、接受中進一步能省思與思變。
然而生活中的創意與演化是息息相關的;本課程後段屬於創新與設計相關的課程,課程內包含了設計沿革史、設計的範疇、設計的本質、設計的形式、設計與生活、設計與產業等內容,讓學生可以了解設計源流與概略,有助於不同專業領域對於設計的認識。依據時代的變遷從遠古的石器時代演化到現在,其實我們的生活皆離不開產品,無論在食衣住行育樂的各種構面上,經由設計過的產品不斷的隨著生活的改變而推陳出新,滿足了生活者的實用性、便利性、安全性等,也因為設計者的巧思,因而適切的改善了生活品質、此外,設計者也會對於未來的生活提供了新的目標與方向;前者稱為「設計的改善」,後者則是針對未來人類新式樣生活而提出「概念設計」,易言之;設計可以提升或改善生活的品質外同時也可以「創造」新的生活方式。再進一步解釋設計的效益除了生活外也可以帶動「產業」創造新的價值,提升產業競爭力改善產業體質、創造多元的價值;此外對於產業形象、商品的品牌建置也是可以透過產品設計與企劃,發展短中長期產品與商品的策略….。也可以簡單的說設計創造的效益就是生活價值、社會價值、國家的價值與人類進化的潤滑劑,設計背後的創新與創造才是價值創造的本質。
期待藉由本課程學生可以廣泛的理解人類生存的意義以及在設計創新、創造與價值效益的基本概念。

This course aims to discuss the meaning and value of human existence; from the lifestyle accompanying the process of human evolution, has life changed humans, or has humans changed their lifestyles? From the introduction of the course, several issues about life value and innovation will be discussed in sequence: "The meaning and value of life innovation", "Innovation philosophy and speculation", "Why the sustainability of life requires innovation", "How to implement the value of innovation" The essence of innovation and the meaning of survival”. . . Topics such as these are the main focus in the early stages of the semester, supplemented by practical case introductions and discussions. Extensive discussion and the pursuit of new interpretations and solutions are the core of this course. The above-mentioned course outline is mainly to guide students to further understand, respect, appreciate, and accept the origin and context of life, so that they can further reflect on and think about changes.
However, creativity and evolution in life are closely related; the latter part of this course is a course related to innovation and design. The course includes the history of design, the scope of design, the essence of design, the form of design, design and life, design and industry, etc. The content allows students to understand the source and outline of design, and helps students understand design in different professional fields. According to the changes of the times, from the ancient Stone Age to the present, in fact, our lives are inseparable from products. No matter in various aspects of food, clothing, housing, transportation, education, the designed products continue to evolve with the changes in life. Bringing forth the new from the old satisfies the practicality, convenience, safety, etc. of living people. It also improves the quality of life due to the ingenuity of the designer. In addition, the designer will also provide new goals and directions for future life. ; The former is called "improvement of design", while the latter is a "conceptual design" for the new style of human life in the future. In other words, design can not only enhance or improve the quality of life, but also "create" a new lifestyle. Further explain that the benefits of design can not only drive the "industry" to create new value in addition to daily life, enhance industrial competitiveness, improve the industrial constitution, and create diversified values; in addition, the industrial image and product brand building can also be achieved through product design and planning. , strategies for developing short, medium and long-term products and commodities…. It can also be simply said that the benefits created by design are the value of life, social value, national value and the lubricant of human evolution. The innovation and creation behind design are the essence of value creation.
It is expected that through this course students can gain a broad understanding of the meaning of human existence and the basic concepts of design innovation, creation and value effectiveness.
