The world is currently facing severe challenges against climate change, and zero emissions have become the common goal pursued by all countries. Market-based solution is one of the key tools to achieve pure zero emissions. Through mechanisms such as carbon trading, carbon pricing, and carbon compensation, it can not only encourage enterprises to develop technology and nature as the solution, but also stimulate individuals to reduce carbon emissions through the thrust of economics (Nudges). This will help jointly govern climate change under the global climate, and it is also an important way to promote zero-carbon economy and promote sustainable development.
This series of courses will cover the basic concept of pure zero emissions, international climate compliance and governance, operating mechanisms of the carbon market, and the realization of pure zero goals for enterprises and supply chains. Students will learn how to plan zero paths, conduct carbon emission management, compete for carbon border taxes and carbon competition, and how to use the carbon market to achieve emission reduction goals.
