The world is currently facing the severe challenge of climate change, and net-zero emissions have become a common goal pursued by all countries. Market-based solutions are one of the key tools to achieve net-zero emissions. Through carbon trading, carbon pricing, carbon compensation and other mechanisms, it can not only encourage companies to create technology- and nature-based solutions, but also through the thrust of behavioral economics (Nudges) Incentivize individuals to reduce carbon emissions. This will contribute to the joint governance of climate change on a global scale and is also an important way to promote a zero-carbon economy and promote sustainable development.
This series of courses will cover topics such as the basic concepts of net-zero emissions, international climate compliance and governance, the operating mechanism of the carbon market, and how companies and supply chains achieve net-zero goals.
