近年犯罪問題對社會與民眾造成巨大衝擊與傷害，有待深入瞭解犯罪者之認知與心理人格特性，據以研擬妥適之犯罪預防、偵查與矯正處遇對策因應。本課程之教學目標為促學生瞭解犯罪心理學之意涵與發展及主要研究範疇，學習犯罪心理學之基礎理論與應用，俾以達成防治犯罪與預防被害之目標。
本課程著重於探討犯罪心理學相關理論基礎，著重探討犯罪心理之生物機制、精神疾病與犯罪之關聯性，及研析各類型犯罪者之認知、心理與人格特性及其在刑事司法體系之各項心理反應。
透過國內外之實際新近案例，增加對犯罪心理學研究之興趣，並激發課程參與者之學習動機，培養其對社會各類型犯罪案件之獨立思考、分析與兼具宏觀之思辯能力。

In recent years, crime problems have caused huge impact and harm to society and the public. It is necessary to have a deep understanding of the cognitive and psychological personality characteristics of criminals, so as to develop appropriate crime prevention, investigation and correction measures. The teaching objectives of this course are to help students understand the meaning, development and main research areas of criminal psychology, and to learn the basic theories and applications of criminal psychology, so as to achieve the goals of preventing crime and preventing victimization.
This course focuses on exploring the relevant theoretical foundations of criminal psychology, focusing on the biological mechanisms of criminal psychology, the correlation between mental illness and crime, and analyzing the cognitive, psychological and personality characteristics of various types of criminals and their various psychological reactions in the criminal justice system.
Through recent actual cases at home and abroad, we can increase interest in criminal psychology research, stimulate the learning motivation of course participants, and cultivate their independent thinking, analysis and macro-thinking abilities on various types of criminal cases in society.
