景觀工程為跨越多項專門領域的綜合性工程,除一般土木建築工程外,並涵括植生、水電工程、服務導覽系統、解說系統等,以及較大尺度的大地工程、水土保持與交通工程、環境工程等內容,晚近的生態工程理念則為景觀工程領域亟需積極融入的規劃設計及施工原則;景觀工程需尊重自然環境及人文風土 紋理,依循環境倫理妥慎操作,表達景觀專業在維護自然與人文景觀之職能。
本理解工程設計的基本原則與基本知識課程強調景觀專業在工程規劃設計之生態觀,以尊重自然、理解自然、師法自然為過程,建立與環境相容的工程觀,教學目標如下:

2.熟悉工程設計圖面表達方式及內容
3.運用景觀工程所需力學概念
4.理解結構系統類型及適用場合

Landscape engineering is a comprehensive project spanning multiple specialized fields. This course on understanding the basic principles and basic knowledge of engineering design emphasizes the ecological perspective of landscape majors in engineering planning and design.
