快速繪圖(Sketch)為工業設計師的基礎能力之一，一方面作為快速發想的表現手法，設計師可以透過手繪方式確認造形並且同時激發更多靈感，另一方面則是作為溝通的方式，無論是設計師之間互相交流想法、傳達想法給客戶或是主觀作為溝通的媒介，因此能夠快速且準確地表達設計師自身的理念與想法，快速繪圖的設計訓練就必須兼具練習的質與量。
本課程作為大一的基礎技術課程，將會教導最基礎的線條掌握開始，以色鉛筆以及簽字筆練習繪製直線、曲線的技巧，並且建立起基礎的透視觀念，練習繪製不同尺寸的長方體以建構正確的透視觀念。進階地學習如何準確繪製形體的掌握、並延伸至產品速繪與產品細節，進而學習如何觀察光線的明暗變化並應用至繪圖技巧中，更進一步地學習麥克筆的上色技巧，乃至於能繪製出不同材質的質感表現，最後建構起繪圖版面編排的觀念，讓學生掌握速繪提案的模式與技巧。本課程最終目的為讓學生可以自在地將腦中的想法準確地轉化於圖紙上，傳遞出明確的設計概念。Quick drawing (Sketch) is one of the basic abilities of industrial designers.
