圖學是設計領域中的基本技能亦是設計師與製造者之間的工業語言。基本工程圖學係透過系統性的方法教授學生製圖,期望學生能以具體的方法將設計構想以圖面的方式呈現,並且須遵守國家標準所訂定的原則,以達到工業語言的一致性。透過圖學的學習,除了培養學生在工業設計的製圖能力外,更有助於奠定圖像空間、立體造形思考及電腦繪圖的基礎。Graphics is a basic skill in the field of design and an industrial language between designers and manufacturers. The Department of Basic Engineering Graphics teaches students drawing through a systematic approach. It is expected that students can use concrete methods to present design ideas in the form of drawings, and must abide by the principles set by national standards to achieve consistency in industrial language. Through the study of graphics, in addition to cultivating students' drawing abilities in industrial design, it also helps lay the foundation for image space, three-dimensional modeling thinking and computer graphics.
