教育目標 Course Target

學習近代「建築史」,我們不僅是獲取「歷史」,更是研究「設計」。本課程將嘗試扣合建築系同學於建築設計學習中所可能產生的種種課題,透過近代建築史中經典作品的解說,與同學一起尋找可能解決的答案。近代建築史課程中所欲討論的「建築」,不僅是作品(建築物),也是一種設計操作、更是一種對於時代精神的理解與反思。於此之上,全球史成為現今歷史學的主流,組成內容複雜的建築史如何超越地域,提供同學一種全球性的理解,為本課程之重要課題。因此,本課程將在意識歷史的歷時性與共時性的立場下,進行講述。 本課程將分為兩個階段,近代建築史(一)將以「裝飾」為核心議題,透過近代建築對於裝飾的理解,整理並進一步編織對於近代建築發展脈絡的掌握。具體而言,本課程將從19世紀以降建築理念與設計作品的變容著手,透過歐洲、東亞兩個世界的相互對話,以相對巨觀、俯視的角度認識近代建築。另一方面,列為選修的近代建築史(二)則轉而從微觀的角度,以「自然」為核心課題,進行建築理解的釐清。具體而言,近代建築史(二)聚焦近代建築發展脈絡中重要的建築師的主張、言說,輔以作品及全體脈絡的陳述,進行深入的閱讀與探討。希望選修的同學能透過建築思考、設計操作、作品與時代脈絡之間的多重關聯與相互辯證,捕捉近代建築發展中建築與自然的關係,並逐漸提煉出自我對於建築的理解與想像。When we learn modern "architecture history", we not only gain "history", but also study "design". This course will try to find possible answers to the possible questions that may arise in architecture design learning by the architecture department, and through the explanations of classic works in modern architectural history. The "architecture" discussed in the course of modern architecture history is not only a work (architecture), but also a design operation, and an understanding and reflection of the spirit of the times. Above this, global history has become the mainstream of history today, and it is an important topic of this course to form complex architectural history that transcends the region and provides students with a global understanding. Therefore, this course will be discussed in the temporal and cotemporal situation of cognitive history. This course will be divided into two stages. Modern Architecture History (I) will take "decoration" as the core topic. Through modern architecture's understanding of decoration, it will organize and further compose the mastery of modern architecture development structures. Specifically, this course will start from the transformation of architectural concepts and design works since the 19th century, and through the dialogue between the two worlds of Europe and East Asia, we will understand modern architecture from a relatively large and downward perspective. On the other hand, the modern architecture history listed as the selection (II) is transformed from a micro perspective, taking "nature" as the core subject to clear the understanding of architecture. Specifically, the History of Modern Architecture (II) focuses on the proposition and speech of important architects in the modern architecture development structure, and conducts in-depth reading and exploration based on the works and the entire structure. I hope that the students who choose to repair can capture the relationship between buildings and nature in the development of modern buildings through architectural thinking, design operations, multiple relationships and mutual verifications between works and contemporary connections, and gradually improve their understanding and imagination of buildings.


課程概述 Course Description

本門課程裡的建築,是一種操作,也是一種理論的反思。 本課程會對照建築設計的技藝性,講解各代建築家,如何挪用當代其它領域的知識、技術與經驗,思考各種傳統或當代的問題,發展出對應的操作體系;幫助同學們,學習這樣的實戰經驗,在操作面上,得到一些處理眼前問題的啟發。無論有意識與否,所有建築家都必須預設某種「建構建築作品形式 … 與其社會背景或脈絡間之關係」的「理論」,才能連結操作與脈絡,建構自己專業實踐的意義。討論不同實例如何連接脈絡與操作,會有助於我們,反推連接自己的專業,與真實世界的「理論」。根據以上所述,我們把【近代建築史】課程的具體內容,區分為以下三個主題 ── 1. 建築與現代的脈絡 : 由歷史的角度,檢視全球或本地建築發展課題的相關脈絡。 2. 現代建築思考與操作 : 就流派、人物、作品與文獻,介紹近代建築的思考、操作、構築。 3. 知識論與史觀 : 對照現代認知與機制層面的脈絡,反思、建構自己的理論。 在第一個學期裡,我們會由案例的討論,輔以概論性的操作解說,幫助剛開始練習實質建築設計的二年級同學,由「讀建築」入手,逐步熟悉設計概念與實質操作的複雜對應。在列為選修的第二個學期裡,我們會針對一些近代建築發展歷程裡的專題,做比較深入的討論;希望選修的同學能因而思考操作與脈絡之間的多重關聯,認識自己所為,在現實世界裡所扮演的角色。除期中、期末考以外,兩個學期都各有三次書面報告;原則上,週二晚上有三小時課外討論時間。選修本課程的同學,必須修過【建築設計習作 (四)】。
The buildings in this course are an operation and a reflection on theory. This course will compare the technical nature of architecture design to explain how various generations of architects can use knowledge, technology and experience from other contemporary fields, think about various traditional or contemporary problems, and develop corresponding operating systems; help students learn this In the actual combat experience, in the operational aspect, we get some triggers to deal with current problems. Whether it is intentional or not, all architects must pre-design a "theory" of "constructing the form of architectural works... and their social background or connection" in order to connect operations and connections and construct their own professional meanings. Discussing how different examples of how to connect connections and operations will help us to reversely connect our own profession and the "theory" of the real world. Based on the above, we divide the specific content of the [History of Modern Architecture] course into the following three topics ── 1. The connection between architecture and modernity: From a historical perspective, we can view the relevant connections of global or local building development courses. 2. Thinking and operation of modern architecture: Introducing the thinking, operation and structure of modern architecture based on genres, characters, works and literature. 3. Knowledge and historical view: reflect on and construct your own theory based on the connection between modern cognitive and mechanism levels. In the first period, we will discuss the case and explain it in an overview of the operation to help second-year students who have just started practicing the design of quality architecture. Starting from "Reading Architecture" to gradually become familiar with the complexity of design concepts and practical operations Corresponding. In the second period listed as the selection, we will discuss the topics in the development of modern buildings. We hope that the students who choose to study can therefore think about the multiple relationships between operation and connection, and recognize what they think, The role played in the real world. Except for mid-term and final exams, there are three written reports in each of the two academic periods; in principle, there is three hours of extracurricular discussion time on Tuesday night.
