有關世界建築史的介紹與討論，由於時間與空間尺度的龐大，以及切入歷史觀點的不同，有著許多不同類型的論述方式。整體而言世界建築史的論述介紹內容。大致上可分為水平及垂直兩向度的討論方式。水平向度係依時間的脈絡講述，屬概述性著重世界建築的歷史演變，雖然是歷史的演變但背後隱含著不同的歷史觀點；而垂直向度將時間軸凍結在某一段，講述那段時間之建築概況，其屬主題式的探討，探討的內涵較為深入。世界建築史（一）以世界各地的建築為講授對象，除了介紹與批判西方建築樣式史之論述方式之外，將從多樣的文化視點與人類史的角度，著重於主題式的探討，除希望藉由實物介紹與探討，加深同學對世界建築的認知外，並希望開啟對世界建築之認識與研究興趣，以及作為未來建築教育的學習基礎。There are many different types of explanations about the introduction and discussion of world architecture history due to the large scale of time and space and the differences in historical perspectives.
