教育目標 Course Target

不論從歷史向度、地理位置,臺灣和東南亞之間的關係不只是鄰近國而已,從最早在冷戰時期兩地已有頻密的交往與互動。後來,九〇年代的全球化更直接促成跨國間人口大量的移動,臺灣社會的人口結構也隨之發生變化——許多來自東南亞的人民形成了臺灣社會中的重要群體。過去幾年,臺灣政府推動「新南向」政策與東南亞的各國展開經貿合作與文化交流,進一步加深兩個區域間的關係。 本課程擬從華人研究與臺灣的視角,重點介紹東南亞社會與文化,共分為以下五個部分:一、台灣與東南亞的關係與互動:留學生、外籍移工與新南向政策;二、東南亞近現代史及概論;三、全球化、現代國家與東南亞的族群關係;四、東南亞社會與性別文化;五、東南亞的文學、文化藝術以及宗教信仰。在認識和掌握東南亞國家的基礎知識之餘,本課程也會引導修課同學以後殖民理論與國家論述,一起思考台灣當代的處境與國際位置。Regardless of historical dimensions and geographical locations, the relationship between Taiwan and Southeast Asia is not just about neighboring countries, but also about closely interacting and interactions between the two places since the Cold War. Later, globalization in the 1990s directly led to a large-scale movement of the population across the country, and the population structure of Taiwanese society also changed - many people from Southeast Asia formed important groups in Taiwanese society. In the past few years, the Taiwan government has promoted the "New Southward" policy and trade cooperation and cultural exchanges in Southeast Asia, further deepening the relationship between the two regions. This course focuses on introducing the society and culture of Southeast Asia from the perspective of Chinese research and Taiwan, and is divided into the following five parts: 1. Relationships and interactions between Taiwan and Southeast Asia: international students, foreign migrant workers and the new southward policy; 2. Southeast Asia Modern history and general discussion; 3. Ethnic relations between globalization, modern countries and Southeast Asia; 4. Society and gender culture in Southeast Asia; 5. Literature, cultural arts and religious beliefs in Southeast Asia. In order to understand and master the basic knowledge of Southeast Asian countries, this course will also guide students to study post-colonial theory and national theory, and think about the contemporary situation and international location of Taiwan.
