本課程為政治系重要選修課程，也是論文寫作的方法依據。每週課程的進度是每位同學閱讀三個星號的指定教材，另外分成兩或三組閱讀兩個星號的選定教材。上課要準時參與，如不能出席必須事先請假，否則視同無故缺課。期中測驗方式為請同學攜帶一份與其研究計畫相關的學術論文，並請同學用電腦繕打出一份研究設計，內容包含研究背景、問題意識和研究問題，頁數為三頁以內。期末測驗方式為請同學進行與其研究計畫相關的文獻檢閱和方法操作，頁數為三頁以內。每周課程第一節課的前半部分由老師導讀，第二節課進行文章報告和討論。第二節課的後半段會上有關論文寫作的格式、文章搜尋和文書操作。評分方式為課堂參與20%、期中測驗40%以及期末測驗40%。
This course is an important selection course in the Department of Politics and is also a basis for writing essays. The progress of the weekly course is that each student reads the designated textbooks of three stars, and is divided into two or three sets of selected textbooks of two stars. You must participate in the course at any time. If you cannot attend, you must ask for leave in advance, otherwise you will be missing the course. The midterm test method is to ask students to bring a scientific paper related to their research plan, and ask students to use their computer to write a research design. The content includes research background, problem awareness and research questions. The number of pages is within three pages. The final test method is to ask students to conduct document reviews and method operations related to their research plans, with the number of pages within three pages. The first half of the first part of the weekly course is read by the teacher, and the second class is reported and discussed. The second half of the second session will discuss the format of writing, article search and text operations. The rating methods are 20%, midterm test and 40% final test.
