Economics aims to explore how people make choices with limited resources? And what are the consequences of the activities people choose? Because people are driven by self-interest and make rational choices under the constraints of resources (budget constraints) and systems (legal norms) to strive for maximum self-interest, individual economics can also be regarded as the study of human choice behavior. For a long time, through the development of theoretical and empirical research, economics has constructed a series of models that can be used to explain or predict the results of economic activities. This course aims to analyze the choice behavior of individual decision makers (consumers, manufacturers) and the resulting market prices and resource allocation conditions, in order to have a better understanding of economic activities (or behaviors). This course is an advanced course, focusing on detailed analysis, with more discussion of models or graphics. Course content includes: consumer choice theory and application, choice under uncertainty, production and cost, competitive market, imperfect competitive market, pricing behavior under monopoly power, basic game theory, factor market theory, general equilibrium theory , information asymmetry and market failure, etc.
