工程數學是工程相關科系的必修課目,主要之內容是在教授對於工程各領域的專業應用,提供基礎的數學理論和解決方法。而對學員教育目的在於訓練學生具備基本數學思惟及推理的能力,使學員瞭解如何將工程上、科學上的問題數學模式化,及學習如何解這些模式化後的工程問題。也就是學習以理論方法分析與解決工程與科學上的問題,以成為具備分析、處理及解決問題能力及態度的優秀工程師。Engineering mathematics is a compulsory course in engineering-related departments. Its main content is to teach professional applications in various fields of engineering and provide basic mathematical theories and solutions. The purpose of educating students is to train students to have basic mathematical thinking and reasoning abilities, so that students can understand how to mathematically model engineering and scientific problems, and learn how to solve these modeled engineering problems. That is to say, learn to analyze and solve engineering and scientific problems using theoretical methods, so as to become an excellent engineer with the ability and attitude to analyze, handle and solve problems.
