After understanding the basic knowledge background of ecology, learn how to use relevant knowledge theoretical basis to apply in environmental impact assessment. The environmental impact assessment assignment is one of the important courses in environmental science theory that combines the impact of pollution on the ecosystem. It applies these theoretical knowledge to practice, evaluates the potential impact of development actions on the environment, and proposes measures to mitigate or avoid adverse impacts.
This course will provide an in-depth introduction to the key details of collecting ecological data around the development base when handling environmental impact assessments, with a special focus on animal ecological surveys. In the course, we will discuss the norms and standards that should be followed in animal ecological surveys to ensure the scientific nature of the survey process and the reliability of the data. At the same time, the course will introduce various animal ecological survey methods in detail, such as transect surveys, capture and release, telemetry technology, etc., so that students can understand the applicable scope and operation steps of different methods. In addition, we will combine practical cases and field operations to share practical experience in animal ecological surveys to help students transform theoretical knowledge into practical abilities.
