環境領域不論是物理化學領域;如污染處理、污染檢驗,或是生物領域;如環境中微生物的應用、生態調查,或是環境管理領域;如環境影響評估、大數據分析、人工智能的應用,這些的基礎都是「數字」,數字的真確性會造成環境資訊的錯誤,統計學的知識可以避免這類事情的發生。但環境數據的來源有其限制性,如果單純以統計學或是大數據分析之觀念隨意將數據進行分析來取得資訊於環境領域的判斷是相當危險的。因此開設此課程將環境與統計的技術相結合,提昇環境領域學生能更認知如何正確處理及分析數據、應用數據。The environment domain is not just a physical and chemical field; such as pollution treatment, pollution inspection, or biological field; such as the application of microorganisms, ecological surveys, or environmental management fields in the environment; such as environmental impact assessment, large data analysis, and the application of artificial intelligence. These basics are all "numbers". The authenticity of numbers will cause errors in environmental information, and the knowledge of discipline can prevent this kind of thing from happening. However, the source of environmental data is limited, and it is quite dangerous to analyze the data simply based on the concept of statistical analysis or large data analysis to obtain information in the environmental field. Therefore, the development of this course combines the environment with statistical techniques to enhance the environment field students to better understand how to correctly process and analyze data and apply data.
