This course provides a basic introduction to probability theory so that students can have a basic but clear understanding of the meaning of probability and its mathematical theory, with the hope that it can be further applied to solve problems in different subject areas in the future. The topics of this course include probability postulate, conditional probability and independence, random variables and probability distribution, expected value and variation, and limit theorem.
