本課程涉及神經解剖、神經系統的結構、功能、發育、演化、遺傳學、內分泌、生物化學、生理學、藥理學及病理學等跨領域的知識。將帶領學生從大腦結構、神經運作的方式、神經傳導系統,到各種心智現象背後的神經生理機制,做全面性的探討。課程分成四大部分:第一部分介紹神經系統如何作用,第二部分談到知覺與運動的神經基礎,第三部分為腦與行為的關係,第四部分則在探討神經系統的可塑性。 This course involves cross-field knowledge such as neuroanatomy, structure, function, development, evolution, genetics, endocrinology, biochemistry, physiology, pharmacology and pathology of the nervous system. Students will be led to conduct a comprehensive discussion on the structure of the brain, the way nerves operate, the nerve conduction system, and the neurophysiological mechanisms behind various mental phenomena. The course is divided into four parts: the first part introduces how the nervous system works, the second part talks about the neural basis of perception and movement, the third part covers the relationship between the brain and behavior, and the fourth part explores the plasticity of the nervous system.
