This course is the overall course of knowledge and practical modules. Students in the course should note that the current planning of the course may still change, so students must attend the first class; the specific course content and rating methods will be based on the explanation in the first class. According to the current planning, we will help students reflect on the ideas they have learned in knowledge and practice in related courses through discussions on language, and consider possible ways to apply these ideas. More specifically, no matter whether the discussion knowledge or discussion is intrinsic, complicated issues involving language cannot be avoided. On the one hand, knowledge needs to be transmitted through language, but when some language users no longer use language as a tool to communicate knowledge and use it for fraud or manipulation, will this have a systematic impact on the process of pursuing knowledge? On the other hand, it actually contains social reality, and society can be shaped by language. So, is it possible that language is used to build social structures that pressure specific groups, and how do we face this potential threat? To think about this problem, we will read Cappelen and Dever’s work on how atypical language is used. However, this course is mainly intended to allow students to think independently on the basis of what they have learned in the past; therefore, in addition to teaching, there will be a certain proportion of oral reports and class discussions in the course to encourage students to develop their own ideas.
