對於中西方文明與哲學之不同進路與取向做一說明。其中包括文學藝術,歷史與科學,民主法治與人格目標等等。在現今世界為一地球村之潮流下，中西雙方交流頻繁，各種文明不斷交互碰撞，未來走向當是一融合態勢！而在此交融之前，本文擬於中、西哲學之各自側重來做一探討，檢視中國哲學未來有何發展空間、對未來之世界哲學有何貢獻等等問題。中、西文明可說各有長處，要於融合與碰撞之間能截長補短，從而設計出一理想之文化藍圖。此人文精神是在中國文化之特色上的人文精神,用以和諧攝受中西之文明,而大融和。Explain the different approaches and orientations of Chinese and Western civilization and philosophy.
