(The Doctrine of the Double Effect)在科技倫理決策中的合理性。 This course aims to explore the ethical challenges that contemporary technology brings to individuals and society, and to cultivate students' critical thinking and ethical judgment abilities. Through reading and analyzing classic texts, students will gain an in-depth understanding of the ethical issues and complexities arising from scientific and technological progress. The main goals of this course are threefold: First, let students understand the ethical issues of contemporary technology, focusing mainly on two major technological categories - machines (including AI and robots) and reproductive technologies (such as abortion). Secondly, students will learn how to use the theories or principles of normative ethics to analyze these scientific and technological issues, especially through the two major cases in this course, to examine the role of "The Doctrine of the Double Effect" in scientific and technological ethical decision-making. rationality. Finally, students will understand human risks, rights and ethical responsibilities in the development of science and technology by discussing real-life science and technology issues, and gradually master the normative discussion and analysis methods of science and technology ethics in British and American moral philosophy.
