本次哲學概論上課用唐先生的哲學概論上下冊一書,包括哲學總論,邏輯,知識論,形上學,倫理學,價值哲學,文化哲學,哲學研究之方法論等等。本學期以他的哲學概論上下冊做為課程教材。他把形上學比配到中國的天道論,倫理學比較到中國的人道論中的心性哲學。其哲概之與其他不同，大致都是以西學為架構，談西方的倫理學，知識論，形上學，而唐先生把中西印度，三個不同的文化觀點，都攝受在一本書內，可做為中西印之文化與哲學的會通與比較。這次的重點放在形上學,包括中國的天道論,西方的存有論,神學,本體論,及宇宙論等等。This Introduction to Philosophy class uses Mr. Tang’s Introduction to Philosophy, two volumes, including General Philosophy, Logic, Theory of Knowledge, Metaphysics, Ethics, Philosophy of Values, Philosophy of Culture, Methodology of Philosophical Research, etc. This semester, the first and second volumes of his Introduction to Philosophy will be used as course materials. He compared metaphysics to the Chinese theory of heaven and ethics to the philosophy of mind in the Chinese theory of humanism. The difference between his philosophical concepts and others is that they are generally based on Western studies and talk about Western ethics, epistemology, and metaphysics. However, Mr. Tang absorbed three different cultural viewpoints from China, West India, and India into one book. It can be used as a communication and comparison between Chinese and Western Indian culture and philosophy. This time the focus is on metaphysics, including Chinese theory of heaven, Western ontology, theology, ontology, and cosmology, etc.
本課程將以哲學基本問題為主軸，循序漸進地介紹倫理學、知識論與形上學的基礎概念與理論。課程中將引導學生們學習如何以哲學的思維及語彙合理地思考與論證，培養學生們運用哲學理論與批判反思的能力。上述能力的養成，將有助於學生們高年級專業課程的學習。
This course will focus on basic philosophical issues and gradually introduce the basic concepts and theories of ethics, theory of knowledge and metaphysics. The course will guide students to learn how to think and argue rationally using philosophical thinking and vocabulary, and cultivate students' ability to use philosophical theories and critical reflection. The development of the above abilities will help students study advanced professional courses.
