本課程講授中國法律史的基礎概念，以及中國傳統法律與社會之相關課題。二十世紀初中國導入西方法以來，傳統法對於華人世界的影響力已經日形消退。但是不能否認的是，要理解傳統社會的結構，甚至是傳統社會的思想觀念，仍然必須知道傳統法的內容，以及統治者的立法原則。本課程以講授中國法律史的基礎概念為主，並且探討中國傳統法律與社會之相關課題，從而認識中國傳統法的架構，以及其對於傳統社會的影響。

This course teaches basic concepts of Chinese legal history, as well as topics related to traditional Chinese law and society. Since China introduced Western law in the early twentieth century, the influence of traditional law on the Chinese world has gradually faded. But it cannot be denied that in order to understand the structure of traditional society, and even the ideological concepts of traditional society, it is still necessary to know the content of traditional law and the legislative principles of the rulers. This course mainly teaches the basic concepts of Chinese legal history, and explores issues related to traditional Chinese law and society, so as to understand the structure of traditional Chinese law and its impact on traditional society.
