課程概述:
當代女性史學曾以「Herstory」(她史)重新省思「History」(歷史)作為既存男性為主流的敘事,改而著重女性的角色及視野如何書寫「她的故事」(Her Story)。在臺灣,性別議題歷經上世紀末至九0年代積累的運動、迻譯和論述,尤其體現於女性作家所引入的性別觀點,一再解縛、一再多樣化讀者對於兩性的框架及印象。本課程將從千禧之交為始點,帶領同學們認識當代臺灣女性文學中的性別思考,其中,含括著追尋與原鄉的母題,成長的私史,以至女性講述的歷史,疑問著生命、欲望或及感官感覺的世界。
課程目標及內涵:
本課程以「當代」、「女性文學」與「性別書寫」等關鍵詞,從閱讀女性作家作品起,聚焦其中性別書寫與對應的當代議題。作品以時間或論題為序,探討含括世紀末、原鄉、成長記憶、殖民史、生命、欲望、身分政治等。學生將參與課堂討論、口頭報告,並在學期中形成各自閱讀和研究的主題,透過期中提案,與期末論壇,完成學期的論述思考與撰寫。
Course Overview:
Contemporary women's history has used "Herstory" to rethink "History" as the mainstream narrative of existing men, and instead focused on women's role and perspective on how to write "Her Story". In Taiwan, gender issues have experienced accumulated movements, translations, and discussions from the end of the last century to the 1990s. This is especially reflected in the gender perspectives introduced by female writers, which have repeatedly unblocked and diversified readers' frameworks and impressions of gender. This course will start from the turn of the millennium and lead students to understand the gender thinking in contemporary Taiwanese women's literature, which includes the themes of pursuit and hometown, private histories of growth, and the history and questions narrated by women. The world of life, desires or senses.
Course objectives and connotation:
This course uses keywords such as "contemporary", "female literature" and "gender writing", starting from reading the works of female writers, focusing on gender writing and corresponding contemporary issues. The works are prefaced by time or topic, and explore topics including the end of the century, hometown, memory of growing up, colonial history, life, desire, identity politics, etc. Students will participate in class discussions and oral reports, and form their own reading and research themes during the semester. Through mid-term proposals and final forums, students will complete the semester's argumentative thinking and writing.
