本課程具有濃厚地實驗性質，將以蒲松齡《聊齋誌異》小說為基礎，由兩位老師採單獨講授、共同講授、對話討論及邀請專家進行專題演講等教學形式，從文學與社會學兩種觀看視野進行跨域對話。具體包含兩大部分：
一、基礎概論介紹：就文學、社會學兩大範疇，透過縱向歷史源流與橫向共時連結，使修課者建構初步概念，能大致掌握文學與社會學之表現特色。
二、專題研究分析，以《聊齋誌異》故事為基礎，擇取親密關係、軍事戰爭、財富與功名等四個面向，從文學與社會學角度切入剖析，探究潛藏在字裡行間的文學意蘊與社會關懷。
我們期望，透過不同學養的思維碰撞，使授課老師與修課同學，皆能突破既有慣性視野，達到拓展思維廣度、相互啟發創新之目標。This course has a strong experimental nature and will be based on the novel "Strange Stories from a Chinese Studio" by Pu Songling.
