Seminar on Artificial Intelligence Law(II)

Course Target

18. 19 Century, the industrial revolution and industrial revolution have brought new milestones to human life. With the arrival of the 21st century, human civilization has once again set off a wave of technology. Artificial intelligence has replaced many human-oriented forces, bringing convenience and efficiency to human life. And with the vigorous development of artificial intelligence, the use of artificial intelligence can be found in daily life. Not only do it, but also medical care, transportation logistics, financial services, education and entertainment, and even legal work, have begun to invest in artificial intelligence, hoping to improve the quality of life and work efficiency. However, with the development of artificial intelligence technology, it will inevitably affect the entire industry. Many jobs may be replaced by artificial intelligence in the future. To be honest, artificial intelligence can make humans more relaxed. On the other hand, the boss will tend to use them and will not get sick, will not stolen, and will not be able to work. Artificial intelligence, many general work opportunities, are actually the risk of unemployment when humans are replaced, and the legal community is no exception. A study conducted by LawGeex, a legal AI platform, in collaboration with law professors at Stanford University, Duke University Law School and USC, allowed 20 experienced lawyers to conduct a contractual agreement with a trained legal AI program. competition. The accuracy of the lawyer team in the competition was 85%, and the accuracy of AI was as high as 95%. The biggest difference was that AI was only used for 26 seconds, while the human lawyer team used an average of 92 minutes. Judging from this experience, not only does the work of lawyers have the possibility of being replaced in the future, but in fact, some of the businesses have been replaced at present. For example, in the past, I would often seek professional lawyers for assistance, and for more common cases, most sets of sample drafts can be completed and I can easily get rewards. However, in recent years, AI lawyer robot DoNotPay has developed to help customers solve legal questions through question-and help people write papers, just like its name means - no money has to be paid. Law departments in various universities in Taiwan are mostly oriented towards public servant examinations or lawyer certification examinations. Students are prepared for various subjects and are dedicated to how to change their lives after entering a lawyer. I don’t know how to study hard during my hard work. There has been considerable changes in the ecological environment. After students get admitted to lawyers, they may feel that their careers are constantly being replaced by AI, and the job of hiring lawyers is not as good as expected, and they end up in vain. Therefore, when preparing for a certificate or public servant exam, you must constantly absorb more recent knowledge and evaluate the future direction. The purpose of this course is to give law students the opportunity to absorb the latest technological knowledge. After all, most of the subjects in social sciences do not touch the field of natural sciences at all. Students cannot understand the operation of AI, and even more so how to affect their future career direction. Based on this, it is necessary to open AI-related courses at universities. This course hopes to lead students to catch up with the trend of the times, no longer limit themselves to the framework of national exams, and expand their own vision more greatly. The course topics of this course are set in the impact and changes of artificial intelligence on the law, the use of artificial intelligence in judicial practice and criminal complaints, the international artificial intelligence legal system, etc., and plan to invite experts from relevant fields from home and abroad to attend the school for lectures, through the lectures of experts Improve the professional knowledge of students in the course of study. Teaching objectives: This course hopes to lead students to understand the correct knowledge, operating principles and limitations of AI machine learning through cross-domain subjects such as law and artificial intelligence, and further research and improvement of AI ethics and its related legal system.
