本課程希望讓同學們對自己的主修樂器,在不同時期應具備的風格有更深刻的理解,包含獨奏曲、室內樂到樂團片段的演奏與詮釋。從認識不同時期的樂器特色,到如何影響當代音樂風格及演奏技法,廣泛了解代表性作曲家與重要作品風格,至針對個別樂曲深度研討分析與演繹,互相觀摩演奏與課堂討論也將提升研究生的獨立思考與批判能力。
除了對巴洛克、古典、浪漫時期到二十一世紀的不同的音樂風格演繹與探討,本堂課希望由多面向的切入點,開拓同學的視野並且幫助同學建立音樂家需要的基本概念:如何有效率的練習,如何克服技巧障礙,如何傳達情感與表現力,如何克服上台緊張,如何準備樂團考試等,如何呈現樂曲風格並找出個人特色,如何與其他音樂家合作等。
This course hopes to give students a deeper understanding of the styles that their major instrument should have in different periods, including the performance and interpretation of solo pieces, chamber music, and orchestra fragments. From understanding the characteristics of musical instruments in different periods, to how they influence contemporary music styles and performance techniques, to having a broad understanding of representative composers and important work styles, to in-depth discussions, analysis and interpretation of individual pieces of music, mutual observation of performances and classroom discussions will also enhance graduate students’ abilities. Independent thinking and critical skills.
In addition to the interpretation and discussion of different musical styles from the Baroque, Classical, and Romantic periods to the 21st century, this class hopes to expand students' horizons from multiple perspectives and help students establish the basic concepts that musicians need: how to be efficient practice, how to overcome technical obstacles, how to convey emotion and expression, how to overcome nervousness on stage, how to prepare for orchestra exams, etc., how to present the style of music and find out personal characteristics, how to cooperate with other musicians, etc.
