在社會工作短短一百多年的發展歷史中，一直有個「擔心自己不夠專業」的生存焦慮，而這樣的焦慮是來自社會工作被擺放在「現代性」──是指在科學理性的要求下，將「秩序」予以普遍化、合法化，來達到對社會進行有效管理這樣的歷史洪流下，而不知不覺地形成。這是一個很有趣、可以從許多不同面向切入來進行探究的領域，但要進行這樣的探究，需要俱備一點歷史研究的視野。也因此，本課程希望可以透過對不同領域的論文進行深入的閱讀、對話、討論、分享，來理解歷史研究是什麼、可以帶我們看到什麼，以及如何將這樣的取向帶入社會工作的研究中。同時，也希望也希望可以協助修課同學了解如何閱讀文獻，並對一個議題進行思辯；透過這種能力的培養，增進自己深度思考的能力，並帶著這樣的能力，為社會工作的知識生產及實踐貢獻一己之力。In the development history of social work for more than a hundred years, there has always been a survival anxiety of "being worried about not being proficient", and this anxiety comes from social work being put on "modernity" - it means scientific rationality Under the requirements of the "order" to be universalized and legalized, so as to achieve the historical torrent of effective management of society and form unconsciously.
