藉研究方法的介紹與研讀，報告的制作，充實學生在研究方法的認識和瞭解。除了培養學生獨立研究的能力外，進一步奠定發現新知的基礎。從假設的提出，主要變數的測量，資料的搜集、測試到解釋分析，從質性和量化兩方面作實作的練習，並藉報告的寫作與檢討，交換研究的心得。
二、主要內容 :
(一)、研究方法的介紹與討論，輔導學生提出假設，研究大綱的提出，資料的搜集，和假設測試的能力。
(二)、強化學生從假設的提出，資料的搜集、測試、分析和解釋，的獨立研究的能力。
(三)、輔導學生具有洞察力和想像力，作為創建新知的基礎。
(四)、藉由報告的寫作與檢討，強化研究的能力。
Through the introduction and study of research methods and the production of reports, students can enrich their knowledge and understanding of research methods. In addition to cultivating students' independent research abilities, it further lays the foundation for discovering new knowledge. From the formulation of hypotheses, the measurement of main variables, data collection, testing to interpretation and analysis, we will conduct practical exercises from both qualitative and quantitative aspects, and exchange research experiences through report writing and review.
2. Main content:
(1) Introduction and discussion of research methods, coaching students on the ability to propose hypotheses, propose research outlines, collect data, and test hypotheses.
(2) Strengthen students’ independent research abilities from the formulation of hypotheses to the collection, testing, analysis and interpretation of data.
(3) Coach students to have insight and imagination as the basis for creating new knowledge.
(4) Strengthen research capabilities through report writing and review.
首先，辨別本體論、知識論（認識論）和方法論三者之間的不同。其次，探討政治學之研究發展及相關理論之演進。再者，研究質性和量化分析之內容和特性。第四，練習及掌握如何撰寫學術論文及研究計畫。
