The volatility of the capital market has become the norm in this era. Investment is an important issue that companies and individuals must face in pursuit of value and wealth growth. However, investment always wanders between madness and rationality. In the past, there have been many cases of companies eroding their profits due to improper manipulation of derivative financial products. There is often a thin line between investment and speculation. Some people think that investment is successful speculation, and speculation is failed investment. In the violent financial market, there are often cases of how to avoid risks and even take advantage of market inefficiencies to earn risk-free profits through arbitrage. Therefore, this course will combine theory and practice to explore different investment, speculation, hedging and arbitrage strategies and applications for derivative financial products such as forward contracts, futures, options, and exchange contracts. It also combines the introduction and discussion of classic financial cases and current affairs, hoping to enable course participants to improve their investment and risk planning abilities.
