教育目標 Course Target

The purpose of this course is to provide the basis for a deeper understanding of the structures of organic compounds and the mechanisms of organic reactions. The level is aimed at advanced undergraduates and beginning graduate students. The goals are to solidify the student’s understanding of basic concepts provided by an introduction to organic chemistry and to present more information and detail than can be presented in the first course in organic chemistry.This course will focus on the discussion of the commonly-seem and uncommon organic reaction mechanisms. The students will learn how to derive logical reaction mechanisms under a given reaction condition, as well as to design experiments to provide evidence for the proposed mechanism.The purpose of this course is to provide the basis for a deeper understanding of the structures of organic compounds and the mechanisms of organic reactions. 課程概述 Course Description

有機反應機構乃是用來描述有機化學變化所經由的全部基元反應。反應機構中應詳述每一步驟轉化之過程,其中包括過渡狀態的形成,鍵的斷裂、生成,以及各步驟的相對速率快慢等等。雖然有時化學變化所發生的轉變可能很明顯,但為了探明這一過程的反應機構,往往需要設計實驗來驗證。本課程除介紹常見有機反應之反應機構外,並訓練學生推演正確或合乎邏輯的反應機構,以及培養同學設計用以證明反應機構實驗的能力。
Organic reaction mechanism is used to describe all elementary reactions through which organic chemical changes occur. The reaction mechanism should describe the transformation process of each step in detail, including the formation of the transition state, the breaking and formation of bonds, and the relative speed of each step, etc. Although sometimes the transformation of a chemical change may be obvious, in order to explore the reaction mechanism of this process, it is often necessary to design experiments to verify it. In addition to introducing the reaction mechanisms of common organic reactions, this course also trains students to deduce correct or logical reaction mechanisms and develops students' ability to design experiments to prove reaction mechanisms.
