寓言是文學或是哲學？如何從貌似單純的故事讀出深具啟發的思想？法國當代哲學家賽荷(Michel SERRES)的思想觸及了廿世紀中多門跨領域新興學科：信息論、混沌理論。這門課藉著閱讀他的《寄食者》一書發現「從寓言到歷史，從喜劇到哲學，從想像到科學，在各處一再出現」的關係：寄食關係。並且探討寄食關係在人類社會建制中的諸種形態。Is fable literature or philosophy? How to read deeply inspiring thoughts from seemingly simple stories? The thoughts of Michel Serres, a contemporary French philosopher, touched on many emerging cross-field disciplines in the 20th century: information theory and chaos theory. Through reading his book "The Host", this class discovered a relationship that "appears again and again everywhere, from allegory to history, from comedy to philosophy, from imagination to science": the relationship of the host. And explore the various forms of food-feeding relationships in human social institutions.
