The objective of this course is to analyze the complex relationships between the environment, the social, and economic components of sustainability by offering ideas and methods that everybody can understand and use. It encourages participation from students to understand how decision-makers, policy-makers, people and grassroots organizations can work together to build a sustainable path for the present and future. 2. By providing examples of actual applications, and describing the necessary tools to monitor and control adopted compliance measures, the class will thereby try to offer a useful condensation of various techniques, procedures and experience that are available today on the complex issue of sustainability.
