Upon completion of the course, students will be able to:
1. Identify information sources, funding bodies and publication outlets most suited to their research topic and scope
2. Compare research tools and select the most appropriate for their workflow and project
3. Create a portfolio containing assembled work from along the research lifecycle for their chosen project topic
4. Describe their research and its implications to both subject matter experts and an educated public audience
5. Assess their existing research workflow and incorporate new tools and strategies as appropriate for the scope of the specific project
