生、老、病、死乃人生必經之歷程。在此眾人皆明的生命迴圈中，無可避免會出現醫療需求。另一方面，隨著社會大眾對自身權益的認知快速提升、以及醫事法律漸趨細緻化，環繞著醫病關係本身或者藥品、醫療器材而生的爭議問題，反映在法律層面之評價亦越發顯現其重要性。有鑒於此，本課程預計先簡介如：醫師法、醫療法、藥事法、病人自主權利法等醫事法律之架構內容。於修課學生對此有初步之認識後，再藉由國內具重要意義的醫療糾紛案例及就其作成之實務裁判，分別以醫師、病人、社會的角度來進行思辨，力求串聯起理論與實務，俾能夠更深刻的理解醫事法律落入生活所帶來之意義。與此同時，亦將適時補充國外相關法規之新近發展趨勢，以擴展修課學生之視野。
