教學目標: 透過自建築歷史中自古至今的實例相對照與空間分析圖例解析，希望能在建築學習過程中有一基本架構性的認知基礎，並進而在開始學習建築設計時對於可被操作的建築手法有一較為清楚的認識。
另外，在面對這日新月異的當代建築風潮，種種變革與發展，建築觀念也不斷加速的蛻變中，建築的學習與吸收必須是隨時而不間斷的；因此，將在課程中引導學生學習如何自我解讀案例，建立比較分析的邏輯基礎，並且討論區分從中學習與盲目抄襲的差異，使同學建立一正確的自我學習管道。

課程內容: 課程中除了要求同學試圖分析歸納所選建築實例案件，並以空間操作手法與設計策略為主要討論項目之外，也將案例討論的結果轉化為空間操作的基本原型，然後試圖整合並應用成為單一個案之空間操作實例。整學期課程內容將大致區分成前後三階段進行，前段先介紹認識當代各種建築型態以不同類型項目進行討論並選擇適當案例，中段則是發展成設計手法與策略之空間概念模型，而後段則要求同學自行選擇適當空間機能與環境背景，操作成一能完整呈現之基本空間設計。

Teaching objectives: Through the comparison of examples from ancient times to the present in the history of architecture and the analysis of spatial analysis illustrations, we hope to have a basic structural cognitive foundation in the architectural learning process, and then have a clearer understanding of the architectural techniques that can be used when starting to learn architectural design.
In addition, in the face of the ever-changing contemporary architectural trends, various changes and developments, and the accelerating transformation of architectural concepts, the learning and absorption of architecture must be continuous at any time; therefore, students will be guided in the course to learn how to self-interpret cases, establish a logical basis for comparative analysis, and discuss the differences between learning from them and blind plagiarism, so that students can establish a correct self-learning channel.

Course content: In addition to requiring students to analyze and summarize selected architectural case cases, with spatial operation techniques and design strategies as the main discussion items, the course also transforms the results of case discussions into basic prototypes of spatial operation, and then attempts to integrate and apply them into spatial operation examples of a single case. The entire semester course content will be roughly divided into three stages. In the first stage, various contemporary architectural types will be introduced, discussed in different types of projects, and appropriate cases will be selected. In the middle stage, a spatial conceptual model of design techniques and strategies will be developed. In the latter stage, students will be required to choose appropriate spatial functions and environmental backgrounds, and operate them into a basic spatial design that can be fully presented.

The course will focus on space manipulation techniques and design strategies, and try to analyze and summarize various typical examples of architecture. The content of the course throughout the semester will be roughly divided into two stages. In the first stage, various contemporary architectural types are introduced and discussed in different types of projects. In the second stage, students are required to select appropriate cases for group comparison and analysis.
