本課程為暑期羅馬異地教學課程的先修課程，目的是讓同學在暑假之前，對所要去的羅馬、佛羅倫斯以及一些小山城有初步的認識。本課程將從羅馬和佛羅倫斯城市的歷史著手，藉著對歷史的了解，進一步認識它們的文化，並針對當時生活的需求，如何影響都市及建築形式的發展作深入的探討。課程的進行將以講堂為主，學生的作業包括地圖描繪及資料收集，期望在學期結束前對所要參觀的城市與建築，收集到基本資料，作為暑假去羅馬的參考。

3.作業包括：(1)羅馬地圖描繪(2)分組收集重要建築物建築圖面(3)重要建築物模型製作This course is a prerequisite for the summer Romanian teaching course. The purpose is to allow students to have a preliminary understanding of the Romans, Florence and some small hill towns they are going to before the summer vacation. This course will start from the history of the cities of Rome and Florence, and through understanding history, we will further understand their culture and further explore how the needs of life at that time affect the development of cities and architectural forms. The course will be mainly lectures. The students' work includes map drawings and data collection. It is expected that before the end of the school period, they will collect basic information for the cities and buildings to be visited, as a reference for the summer vacation to Rome.
1. Introduction to the history of Rome and Florence.
2. Development of Roman and Florence urban and architectural forms.
3. The operations include: (1) Roman map drawing (2) Sub-group collection of important building maps (3) Production of important building models
都市空間中所呈現的是不同建築類型的聚集，這一堂課將以義大利的羅馬與佛羅倫斯等歷史都市的空間與建築的形式為討論基礎，藉由歐陸歷史城市的案例，來探討都市空間的塑造與建築類型的關係，並進一步討論建築設計如何介入這些城市空間設計，塑造值得記憶的都市空間特性。 城市的發展是不斷演進的，它不是取決於某一時刻或是一個理想的計畫，而是由不同歷史層次所組成的，對一個城市的完整經驗往往同時包含了行走的實質經驗和分析的客觀知識，兩者共同構成了我們對城市空間結構的理解；因此此二者 - 建築與都市空間不是截然劃分的領域，從歷史案例中我們可以理解都市空間與建築是彼此互相影響及不斷作用的。 本課程內容將著重在特定城市歷史案例的介紹與分析，學生除了上課以外將被要求在課堂上提出案例分析，希望透過對都市空間形式的分析來了解都市空間的主要建築元素，特別是構成的系統關係和組織原則。

The urban space presents a gathering of different architectural types. This course will be based on the space and architecture of historical cities such as Roman and Florence in Italy, and explore the cases of European historical cities. The shaping of urban spaces is related to the type of architecture, and further discusses how architecture designs intervene in these urban space designs to shape urban space characteristics that are worth remembering. The development of a city is constantly evolving. It is not determined by a certain moment or an ideal plan, but is composed of different historical levels. The complete experience of a city often includes the actual experience and analysis of walking. The two of us jointly form our understanding of the structure of urban space; therefore, the two - architecture and urban space are not completely divided areas. From historical cases, we can understand that urban space and architecture affect each other and constantly interact with each other. . The content of this course will focus on the introduction and analysis of historical cases in specific cities. In addition to taking classes, students will be asked to propose case analysis in the classroom. They hope to understand the main architectural elements of urban space through the analysis of urban space form, especially the structure System relationships and organizational principles.
