今天所存在的企業有其漫長的演變歷程，因此，要理解什麼是企業這個問題，必須要回到西方歷史的脈絡，在西羅馬帝國滅亡等一系列的動亂之後，西方世界在中世紀的時候已逐漸恢復元氣，市鎮、城市和交易會如雨後春筍般的興起，企業也在這樣的環境下漸漸地演變成今天的樣貌。自中世紀之後，西方經濟在文藝復興、大航海時代、科學革命以及啟蒙運動等一系列巨大的歷史變遷中逐步發展，與此同時，作為歷史變遷中重要行動者的企業也在歷史的進程中漸次成形，尤其是在工業革命之後。工業革命是人類歷史上一個很重大的分水嶺，因為在它之後西方工業不僅快速發展，也快速的在西歐國家中擴散，從而帶動了西歐國家經濟與社會的快速發展。也是從工業革命之後，可以看到企業組織開始成為一個國家經濟與社會發展的重要推動力量。因此，就西方近代社會的興起而言，企業扮演了具有重要影響力的重要角色，故本課程主要希望透過對西方經濟與社會的變遷過程中，企業的形成與其在社會中的地位有所探討，換言之，本課程期望可以幫助學習者深入了解在經濟與社會發展的歷史脈絡中，企業在社會中的影響力及其所扮演的角色。The companies that exist today have a long evolutionary course. Therefore, to understand what the problem of enterprises is, we must return to the boundaries of Western history. After a series of events such as the demise of the Western Empire, the Western world was in the Middle Ages. The economy has gradually recovered, and cities, cities and transactions will rise like spring after rain, and enterprises have gradually evolved into what they are today under such an environment. Since the Middle Ages, Western economy has gradually developed in a series of huge historical changes such as literary revival, the era of navigation, scientific revolution and the invasion of Mongolia. At the same time, enterprises as important actors in historical changes are also in the process of history. It took shape several times, especially after the industrial revolution. The industrial revolution is a very important part of human history, because after it, Western industry not only developed rapidly, but also expanded rapidly among Western European countries, thus driving the rapid development of economic and social development in Western European countries. It is also after the industrial revolution that we can see that corporate organizations have begun to become an important driving force for the economic and social development of a country. Therefore, in terms of the rise of modern Western society, enterprises play an important role with important influence. Therefore, this course mainly hopes to explore the formation of enterprises and their position in society through the transformation of Western economy and society. , in other words, this course expects to help learners gain an in-depth understanding of the impact of enterprises in society and their role in the historical link between economic and social development.
