過去的資訊社會學，常集中於數位落差、社群、新興媒體、倫理、法規、隱私等等議題，這是社會學企圖使用各種學科內的研究領域，包裹起資訊這個元素，探討資訊對這些主題帶來的影響、挑戰與啟發，相關的經驗研究、現象描述還有各自的生活體驗，已經累積地非常豐富，我們都知道資訊已經深入到生活各種面向。
這堂課想要嘗試的是，如果我們從資訊這端來看社會學，是不是會帶來一些不同的觀點。
